You'll never see our best work.

That's the point. On a custom home, the whole system lives inside the walls, attic, and ceilings — concealed, silent, designed in.

From plans to final inspection — design, equipment, and install. One sub, on schedule, without compromising a finish.

From your plans to a passed final

01

From your plans

No mechanical engineer needed — we produce the mechanical design from your architectural set: load calculations, system design, and equipment selection before drywall is on the schedule. Priced in the estimate tool above, line items included.

02

Rough-in that respects the build

Coordinated with your framer and finish trades — clean penetrations, sealed runs, HERS duct leakage tested at rough-in.

03

Startup and HERS at the finish

Commissioned, tested, documented. HERS final passed. Your certificate of occupancy isn't waiting on us.

The best mechanical work is invisible

What the owner sees
  • A trimless linear slot — no grille, no frame, flush with the ceiling plane
  • Silence in the primary suite at night
  • Even temperature across a 20-foot glass wall
  • Full-height ceilings — no soffits, no dropped planes
  • Nothing on the facade or in the sight lines
What we engineered behind it
  • Concealed ducted units sized to the room loads, not the catalog
  • Sound-rated placement — as low as 45 dBA, about the hum of a refrigerator
  • Zoned inverter systems designed from the plans, matched to glazing and exposure
  • Runs routed inside the structure — slim units and duct paths planned before framing
  • Sealed, tested duct runs — HERS duct leakage passed before drywall closes

A soffit is a planning failure, not a necessity. Brought in at the drawing stage, we design them out — not apologize for them after.

Custom home HVAC, answered

Can you avoid soffits and dropped ceilings?

In most designs, yes — soffits are a planning problem, not a physics problem. Slim concealed units fit shallow cavities and closets, duct runs get coordinated with framing and floor trusses at the drawing stage, multi-zone refrigerant systems reach far rooms without bulky trunk ducts, and Titus mud-in linear diffusers plaster in trimless — flush with the ceiling plane. Brought in before framing, we design soffits out rather than box ducts in after the fact.

What equipment do you install?

Whatever the architecture demands — slim concealed ducted units, inverter heat pumps, mini-splits, and complex multi-zone systems including VRF/VRV. High-efficiency inverter equipment from Daikin, Goodman, and AC Pro, with factory warranties up to 12 years on registered systems.

How do I get pricing?

Two ways: price the systems yourself in our estimate tool — it covers single-family projects end to end, HERS line items included, and produces a PDF for your budget — or send us plans and we'll quote it. 818-535-8888 · info@rhinoair.com.

How quiet are the systems you install?

Sound-rated placement and inverter equipment as low as 45 dBA — about the hum of a refrigerator. Quiet enough for primary suites, designed in from the plans.
